Research interests: empirical research in the fields of: financial stability, banking supervision, prudential regulations, banking operations, European banking system
Courses taught: Retail Banking, Banking Operations, International Financial Institutions, Monetary Policy, Financial Markets, Regulation and supervision of financial markets
The research activity of Professor Koleśnik resulted in over 60 publications of which he is the author or co-author. He prepared more than 30 reviews of research papers and articles and 5 expert opinions for the commercial sector. He participated in 18 research projects, in several of them in the capacity of project manager. He also actively participated in over 80 scientific national and international conferences, preparing a number of peer-reviewed papers and speeches. Knowledge of the practical issues related to supervisory regulations which he acquired in his work in the banking sector (National Bank of Poland, Polish Bank Association, Bank Guarantee Fund and Warsaw Stock Exchange) makes a valuable contribution to his numerous trainings dedicated to representatives of the banking sector. Professor Koleśnik is also involved with teaching and training for renowned entities such as the Institute for International Research, Training Institute for Banking Supervision, Greenberg Traurig, KPMG and Salans FMC SNR Denton.
