From 9 to 15 November, representatives of the Family Business Department, Katarzyna Sobiech-Grabka (Head of Department) and Anna Stankowska, conducted a study visit to the American University in Cairo as part of the RID project: Developing SGH’s research potential for sustainable growth and resilient and inclusive societies.
During their visit, the SGH professors had the opportunity to experience an incredibly innovative approach to education. Unlike traditional lectures, which are virtually non-existent at AUC, the university focuses on active learning methods that engage students on multiple levels. Of particular interest were narrative decision games and the drama method. Instead of passively listening to lectures, students create their own games, take on different roles and solve complex problems.
