- 11th Coaching Conference – DIGITAL COACH
On January 11, 2023, the 11th Coaching Conference was held, organized by the staff of the Entrepreneurship and Business Environment Unit and the SKN Acceleration. The event was aimed not only at coaches but also at representatives of other support professions, such as mentors, psychologists, therapists, tutors, and those involved in personal development in a broad sense.
This edition was the second in a row to be held online. Despite the end of the pandemic and the return of most activities to in-person formats, we decided to continue with the online format because we wanted to show that the market for coaching services and other forms of support now requires such services to be offered digitally with the same quality as in-office meetings. Therefore, we decided to organize an event that would help participants adapt to new market expectations and titled it “Digital Coach.”
The event was a huge success and garnered significant interest. It was attended live by as many as 364 people. According to the data we collected, each participant watched an average of about 4 presentations, spending 3 hours and 29 minutes at the event. The event was held under the Honorary Patronage of His Magnificence the Rector of SGH Warsaw School of Economics – Dr. Hab. Piotr Wachowiak, Prof. SGH. The event was opened by the Dean of the Collegium of Business Administration – Dr. Hab. Gabriel Główka, Prof. SGH, the Director of the Institute of Enterprise – Prof. Dr. Hab. Hanna Godlewska-Majkowska, and the Head of the Entrepreneurship and Business Environment Unit – Dr. Hab. Joanna Żukowska, Prof. SGH.
The above shows that SGH staff perfectly understand market trends and create events where participants gain the desired knowledge. Experts with many years of experience in the coaching industry were invited to speak, sharing their knowledge with the participants. The topics covered at the conference can be divided into three groups: working with people online – tools and techniques, professional development of the coach, and work-life balance and well-being in running an online business.
It appears that the conference was an inspiring and practical event that provided participants with valuable insights into the role and challenges of digital coaching. The speakers jointly created a post-conference booklet, which is available for download below.
