The Department of Market, Marketing and Quality conducts scientific and didactic activities. It operates within the Collegium of Management and Finance of the SGH Warsaw School of Economics.
The history of the Department of Market, Marketing and Quality covers the history of two previously operating organizational units, which were the Department of Market and Marketing and the Department of Quality Management.
The beginnings of the Department of Market and Marketing are connected with the establishment in 1984 of the Department of Market Economics. In 1992, it changed its name to the Department of Market and Marketing.
The previous names of the Department of Quality Management were, among others: Department of Technology and Commodity Science, Department of Technology and Production Quality, Department of Technology and Product Quality, Department of Quality Management.
In May 2013, the name of the Department of Market and Marketing was changed to the Department of Market, Marketing and Quality. At the same time, the Department of Quality Management was transformed into the Quality Management Unit operating in the Department of Market, Marketing and Quality until the end of 2024.
