The Corporate Finance Department conducts scientific and didactic work in the following research areas:
- Management of liquidity and profitability of enterprises (use of cash flow account, factoring, securitization of assets, debt collection methods, cash pooling, profitability measures of enterprises, extended Du Pont scheme, etc.)
- The use of discount methods in the calculation of the effectiveness of investment projects
- Methods of analyzing the risk of corporate insolvency (especially the use of discriminatory models in assessing the probability of corporate bankruptcy)
- Analysis of sources of capital and forms of financing the company’s assets
- Capital structure models and factors influencing its formation (research on the behavior of Polish companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange regarding strategies for shaping capital structure)
- Analysis of operational and financial risk in the enterprise (operating leverage and its effects, financial leverage and its effects, combined leverage)
- Enterprise value management (use of various enterprise value measures, with particular emphasis on the strength and direction of the relationship between economic value added (EVA) and market value added (MVA)
- Business valuation methods.
