This international scientific workshop explores socio-economic aspects of integration with a special focus on Ukrainian (forced) migrants in the EU and its member states. It emphasises the roles of the various migration governance actors, taking into account the perspectives of international organisations, social organisations, local governments, the private sector and academia, among others. It also emphasises the importance of agency and commitment of the migrants themselves.

The workshop is organised under the following projects:  “Refugee entrepreneurship in the EU: sparking grass-roots innovation, civic empowerment and transnational connectivity (RE-EMERGE)”, CIVICA Research Grant  and “Future of European cities: towards inclusive, sustainable and smart urban development (EUCities)”, Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module Grant, both implemented at the SGH.
