SciVerse ScienceDirect is an electronic collection of Elsevier magazines. Since 2010, we have been granted access to the database thanks to a national license entirely financed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and administered by the Interdisciplinary Center for Mathematical and Computational Modeling of the University of Warsaw (ICM).
On the basis of the national license, the SGH Library has access to:
- to all Science Direct Freedom Collection journals (including approximately 1,650 titles from 1995 to the current year, and archives of over 370 non-continuing titles);
- to the archives of magazines from 2006-2010, which until 2009 were subscribed in paper or electronic version.
The license does not cover Science Direct journals that are not published directly by Elsevier.
Thematic scope: ScienceDirect is an interdisciplinary database (chemistry, physics, IT, mathematics, economics, business and management, technical, natural and medical sciences).
Access to the database is possible only in the university network, i.e. at the university and via remote access, for authorized users, who are students, PhD students and employees of the Warsaw School of Economics.
