On 22 June, we learnt the results of the 2022 University Ranking of “Perspektywy” monthly. SGH Warsaw School of Economic came first for yet another year in a row in the category of “Universities of Economics” thus confirming its leader position country-wide.

A project with the participation of an SGH team as a laureate of CHANSE competition
A project, of which SGH is one of the partners, won the competition of the CHANSE (Collaboration of Humanities and Social Sciences in Europe) programme under the title “Transformations: Social and Cultural Dynamics in the Digital Age”.

Cooperation agreement between SGH and Network PL Association
SGH and Network PL will cooperate with the aim to integrate SGH alumni working at European institutions with their Alma Mater and to promote the knowledge on European integration at SGH to enhance the Polish staff potential in the EU institutions.

Cooperation agreement between SGH and Fundacja Młodzieżowej Przedsiębiorczości [Youth Entrepreneurship Fund]
On 12 May, SGH Warsaw School of Economics and Fundacja Młodzieżowej Przedsiębiorczości made a cooperation agreement in a sense of responsibility for economic education and preparing children and youth for life in a market economy.

An agreement between SGH and PANA for financial audit education
The popularisation of knowledge in financial and financial audit education is the main purpose of the agreement reached by the Polish Agency of Audit Oversight and SGH Warsaw School of Economics. The agreement was signed on 9 May by Marcin Obroniecki, the President of PANA, and professor Piotr Wachowiak, SGH Rector. The agreement stipulates for cooperation between the institutions within the competences of each institution.

An agreement between SGH and the Polish Olympic Committee
On 29 April, SGH Warsaw School of Economics made an agreement with the Polish Olympic Committee (PKOl) with respect to stricter cooperation between the academic and Olympic milieu as regards management. The agreement was signed at the Olympic Centre in Warsaw by SGH Rector, dr hab. Piotr Wachowiak, prof. SGH, and Andrzej Kraśnicki, the President of PKOl.

SGH and Google as partners in Poland’s largest internship and training programme
On Wednesday, 13 April, an internship and training programme, “Skills of Tomorrow” and “Career of Tomorrow” was launched. The programme is EU-funded and coordinated by the government. SGH Warsaw School of Economics is the main educational partner. Together with Google, the School will hold a series of seminars and workshops to deepen young people’s knowledge of digital management in small and medium-sized enterprises.

LUX MED Group, SGH and GAP Foundation launch a Healthy Cities project
At the initiative of the LUX MED Group, a Healthy Cities Index will be developed to assess the living conditions in cities with respect to (among other things) health, including mental health, green space, education, air quality and culture. The project partners, experts of SGH Warsaw School of Economics and Fundacja Gospodarki i Administracji Publicznej [Economy and Public Administration Foundation], will show what and how affects life quality and health of the inhabitants of 66 cities in Poland.

SGH as a new member of the alliance of CIVICA University
On 23 March, a consortium of the European University of Social Sciences bringing together prestigious European universities of social sciences presented its 2030 vision which included the creation of a university of the future. Two new universities were admitted to the alliance: SGH Warsaw School of Economics from Poland and IE University from Spain. In this way, the member count rose up to ten institutions.

Inclusive SGH - no barriers to education (inSGH)
SGH Warsaw School of Economics embarks on a prestigious project entitled “Inclusive SGH - No Barriers to Education” (inSGH). The goal of the project is to increase accessibility for people with disabilities by implementing activities aimed at adapting the organizational structure, educational processes, architecture, and digital and information accessibility, as well as shaping and promoting a culture of openness to people with special needs.

SGH Warsaw School of Economics embarked on a project entitled “Assistant to an ASD Student” implemented as part of Measure 4.1 Social Innovation, Priority Axis IV of the Operational Program Knowledge Education Development 2014-2020 Social Innovation and Transnational Cooperation.

Cooperation of Unia Metropolii Polskich (Union of Polish Metropolis) and SGH Warsaw School of Economics
Solving problems which involve the functioning of local government through the cooperation of local government and scientific communities are the cornerstones of the cooperation agreement between Unia Metropolii Polskich im. Pawła Adamowicza [Paweł Adamowicz Union of Polish Metropolis] and SGH Warsaw School of Economics. The agreement was signed by dr hab. Tadeusz Truskolaski, the Union’s President, and prof. dr hab. Piotr Wachowiak, SGH Rector, on 30 November 2021.

The Polish Accreditation Committee awarded SGH Warsaw School of Economics with Excellence in Teaching Certificate in the category of Open to the World - excellence in international cooperation.

Twenty-one applications of SGH Doctoral School were qualified for a programme in the modules of “Implementation Doctorate I” and “Implementation Doctorate II - Artificial Intelligence”.

An agreement between SGH and the Association of Financial Companies in Poland on cooperation for the development of financial markets
In combining their potential and resources, both the institutions are looking forward to a synergy effect to allow, among other things, supporting the development of entrepreneurship and economic education on the financial market in Poland.

On 20 April 2021, the 8th Technical High School in Warsaw and SGH Warsaw School of Economics signed a letter of intent to cooperate for the development and education of young people, the promotion of economic knowledge and the preparation of personnel for the needs of Polish science, economy and society.

During the gala ceremony of the finale of the 23rd Ranking of Secondary Schools and Technical Schools Perspektywy 2020 which took place in SGH Warsaw School of Economics, the Warsaw School of Economics’ Secondary School came on the podium among the capital’s non-public secondary schools.

A report by SGH researchers honoured by Erasmus+
In recent days, the National Agency of Erasmus+ has accepted the final report of DASCHE project: “Development, Assessment and Validation of Social Competences in Higher Education”. The project results were rated so high that the Agency awarded a “good practice” status to the report and the accompanying materials. It means that they can be an example to follow and a source of inspiration for other Erasmus programmes and that they are published on the Programme’s information platform.

SGH and PAIH started cooperation in research and education
SGH Warsaw School of Economics and the Polish Investment and Trade Agency signed a cooperation agreement aiming to foster the development of Polish firms based on the School’s scholarly output and the Agency’s market experience. More on that in the Magazine of SGH Warsaw School of Economics.

On 8 October, SGH Corporate Partners Club was joined by LUX Med group, Poland’s largest healthcare company. On that day, a commemorative plaque in the school’s main building was unveiled jointly by the Group’s president, Anna Rulkiewicz, and SGH Rector, prof. Piotr Wachowiak.
