Reports on climate change make it abundantly clear that the food we eat is part of the problem, yet, we all depend on agriculture to survive and lead a healthy life. Essential to our survival as it is, food is not just an issue of sustenance and nutrition. It is intimately associated with culture and cultural identities. Radically changing our modes of food production and consumption is likely to engender intense debate and conflicting views.
How could such perspectives be reconciled? What are the possible paths for revising our unsustainable relation to food production and consumption while preserving the cultural heritage and sense-making of food?
