Rector's honorary patronage

The honorary patronage of the SGH Rector is granted to initiatives of particular importance and significance for our university that are consistent with its economic profile and relevant for scientific and academic development. The Rector’s patronage may be extended to initiatives undertaken by student organisations and associations at SGH, academic undertakings organised by SGH Colleges, joint undertakings organised by SGH and the business community as well as charitable initiatives involving SGH.

Applications must be submitted at least four weeks before the planned event, counting from the date of receipt. Applications sent or submitted after this deadline will not be considered.

How to apply for patronage?

  1. Applicants are invited to read the detailed rules for granting patronage available on our website.
  2. Applicants are required to complete the relevant application form. Failure to include any of the following information in the application will result in the application being rejected. The application should include the following:
    • precise information about the planned event and its purpose,
    • the date of the event and, in the case of continuous projects (e.g. competitions), the schedule of the undertaking,
    • precise information on guests to attend the event, particularly if participants representing the business community or politics are expected to attend,
    • promotional benefits for SGH arising from the Rector’s patronage over the initiative,
    • description of the promotional plan for the event (the use of advertising media, website) – a precise description will allow us to provide SGH logos appropriate for the advertising media to be used,
    • information on all other patrons of the event (institutions, sponsors, media),
    • information on the event organiser,
    • full name, title and precise contact details of the person responsible for the coordination of the event, and a handwritten signature.
  3. The completed application form should be submitted to the Rector’s Office or sent it by post. The application form is intended to streamline the procedure of applying for honorary patronage. However, applicants may apply for honorary patronage using their own letters, printed on the letterhead of the event organiser. In the latter case, the application must contain all the required information. Printed application and all appendices should be dual-sided.
  4. The applicant who signs the request for honorary patronage declares that they have familiarised themselves with the rules of the SGH Rector’s honorary patronage rules.
  5. After obtaining the consent of His Magnificence the Rector of SGH, the applicant will receive the relevant information from the SGH Promotion Team and then the appropriate SGH logotypes will be e mailed to the address specified in the application.
  6. Once the SGH logotypes have been inserted in the draft materials promoting the event, the drafts should be e mailed to the Promotion Team for approval at: promocja@sgh.waw.pl.
  7. Once an approval has been granted, the successful applicant can proceed with the printing of promotional materials with the SGH logo and the publication of the SGH logo on the website of the initiative concerned.
  8. Once an initiative received the honorary patronage of the SGH Rector, the organisers have the right to mention this fact in all correspondence related to the organisation of the event, e.g. when seeking sponsors or other patrons.
