The main objective of the study is to start a discussion on the change of the state policy on the prevention of domestic violence and the planning of support adequate to the needs and the new legislation. This will be achieved through a cost-benefit analysis in Poland between 2004 and 2024.
The project will be carried out in partnership with the ‘Blue Line’ -The Institute of Public Health. The cost-benefit analysis will be embedded in the life course of individuals and will include key cost categories: prevention costs, consequence costs (costs of damage to physical and mental health, costs of health services, costs of productivity losses, costs of services for people experiencing violence), system response costs (police costs, legal costs - private and public proceedings).
