Students, who wish to obtain recognition of grades obtained in SGH
- Dean of Undergraduate Studies’ Instruction on the recognition of grades for courses completed during previous undergraduate studies at SGH Warsaw School of Economics (effective from March 3, 2025)
- This instruction applies to individuals who have successfully completed the admission process for Undergraduate Studies and who were previously students of SGH Warsaw School of Economics or are still pursuing studies at SGH in a different study program. These individuals may apply for the recognition of learning outcomes for courses completed during their previous studies at SGH in the given academic year.
- The student submits an application for the recognition of learning outcomes (transfer of grades) for specific courses via the appropriate application form available in the USOS system.
- The application should include a list of courses with their course codes, course titles, and the corresponding number of ECTS credits.
- Grades from courses completed during previous studies may be recognized if all of the following conditions are met:
- No more than 5 years have passed since the student’s removal from the list of students,
- In the case of a second or subsequent admission to studies, i.e., within the period since the last commencement of studies, the student has demonstrated significant academic progress,
- The course codes, course titles, and the corresponding number of ECTS credits match the records of the current study program,
- There have been no significant changes to the syllabi, particularly regarding the expected learning outcomes or the course completion requirements.
- The deadlines for submitting applications for students beginning their studies are announced by the Dean in the declaration schedule for the winter semester of the given academic year.
- The deadlines for submitting applications for students of higher semesters expire two weeks before the end of the first stage of semester declarations (preferences) for the given semester.
This instruction enters into force on April 3, 2025.
Students, who wish to obtain recognition of grades obtained outside SGH
- Instruction on the recognition of grades for course taken outside SGH (in force from 20th December 2024)
With reference to § 12.7 of the Rules and Regulations the following rules are introduced:
1. a student shall apply for the recognition of grades obtained outside SGH through the USOS system. In order to apply for the transfer of a subject completed within the five academic years preceding the commencement of the procedure is:
• attaching to the application the syllabus of the completed course along with information on its time dimension,
• confirmation of the grade obtained in the examination (certificate issued by the relevant dean’s office),
• attaching a positive opinion of the subject coordinator at SGH.2. The deadline for submitting a complete application to rewrite grades in a semester is 21 days before the beginning of the semester in question.
3. A grade may be transferred only if the student is not enrolled in the current semester in a given subject, unless enrolment in the subject results from §12.2 of Rules and Regulations.
