Resumption of studies – Undergraduate Studies

The dean may allow the person who was removed from the student list after passing the first semester of the programme, and not more than 5 years have passed since the date of removal, to resume the study unless the analysis of the completed learning outcomes proves them inadequate with respect to the existing study curricula.

All details concerning Resumption of Study have been presented in § 37 of Study Rules and Regulations.

DEADLINE

Application should be submitted in person (on working days during office hours), sent by post or via e-PUAP:

  • resumption from winter semester 2025/2026 until 9th September 2025 (Tuesday);
  • resumption from spring semester 2025/2026 until 30th January 2026 (Friday).
Dean’s Instruction on the Rules for Resuming Studies (in force from 1 October 2025)

Pursuant to §37 of the Study Regulations, the following rules for the resumption of studies in first-cycle (Bachelor’s) programmes at SGH Warsaw School of Economics are hereby established:

  1. A student has the right to submit an application for resumption of studies if no more than five years after the date of removal from the register of students.
  2. Upon resumption, the student’s study record shall include both the courses with positive grades obtained during the previous course of study, as well as those with negative grades or declared courses with no grades. Courses declared or failed during the previous course of study must be completed after the resumption of studies.
  3. If a student was removed from the register during a semester in which they took at least one examination — confirmed by a recorded grade in the examination report — all courses from that semester with failing grades (2.0) or no recorded grade shall be classified as failed courses to be repeated after resumption.
  4. Upon resumption of studies, the student shall be charged a fee for all failed courses, in accordance with the ECTS-based fee schedule for repeated courses.

This Instruction enters into force on 1 October 2025.
