Resumption of studies – Undergraduate Studies

The dean may allow the person who was removed from the student list after passing the first semester of the programme, and not more than 5 years have passed since the date of removal, to resume the study unless the analysis of the completed learning outcomes proves them inadequate with respect to the existing study curricula.

All details concerning Resumption of Study have been presented in § 37 of Study Rules and Regulations.

DEADLINE

Application should be submitted in person (on working days during office hours), sent by post or via e-PUAP:

  • resumption from winter semester 2024/2025 until 6th September 2024 (Friday);
  • resumption from spring semester 2024/2025 until 24th January 2025 (Friday).

Instruction on the resumption of studies (in force from 20th December 2024)

With reference to § 37 of Rules and Regulations the following rules for resumption of undergraduate studies at SGH are introduced:

  1. A student has the right to apply for resumption of studies if no more than 5 years have passed since the date of removal from the list of students.
  2. Upon resumption, both subjects from which positive grades have been obtained in the previous course of study and subjects from which negative grades have been obtained as well as declared subjects from which no grades have been obtained are entered in the study history. Subjects declared or not passed in the previous course of study must be completed upon resumption of the course of study.
  3. In the case of a semester during which a student has been removed from the list of students and has taken at least one examination in a session confirmed by a grade entry in the transcript, the list of failed subjects includes all subjects from that semester in which the grades are 2.0 or in which there is no exam grade.
  4. Upon resumption of studies, a fee is charged for all uncompleted courses in accordance with the table of fees according to ECTS credits for repeated courses.

The instruction comes into force on 20.12.2024.
