A certificate from a Polish authority is required, i.e. a certificate of disability, a certificate of the degree of disability or a certificate issued by a certifying doctor from the Polish Social Insurance Institution (ZUS).
- Deadlines for receiving applications
Applications for the scholarship for persons with disabilities for the academic year 2024/25 will be accepted from 1st Oct to 15th Oct 2024
The application generated in the USOS system should still be submitted: personally to the Student Support (room 156a G), via ePUAP or by registered letter.
Recommended way of submitting the application: by post or via ePUAP.
Applications for this benefit submitted after the deadline will continue to be considered. According to the Rules and Regulations of Student Benefits, students will receive the grant starting from the month during which they filed the application, without compensation for the preceding months.
- Generating the application through USOS
Applications for the grant for students with disabilities shall be submitted for the period of an academic year, with the proviso that in the event of the expiry of the validity of the certificate on the degree of disability, on which basis the student had been granted the grant for students with disabilities, the right to the granted benefit expires on the last day of the month of validity of the certificate on the degree of disability.
In order to apply for the grant for students with disabilities, student must first contact the Office of Accessibility and Support
for People with Disabilities at SGH in order to register and submit the original certificate of disability. If they fail to complete the formalities at the Office of Accessibility and Support for People with Disabilities, they cannot apply for the grant for students with disabilities.To submit an application for the grant for students with disabilities, please, log in to the main page of the USOSweb platform by using the SGH student login and password (students receive their SGH login credentials once enrolled for the first year of studies at SGH, which are sent to the email address provided by them in the recruitment process).
All faculties at all universities except SGH WARSAW SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS (also abroad) where you have ever studied / had the status of a student should be provided when filling out the application in the USOS system, even if the study period lasted only a few days, weeks or 1 month, even if you did not attend classes and were crossed out.
The faculties indicated by the student are checked with the national POL-on system. If you do not specify all faculties in the application, the procedure will be resumed and if you exceed the deadline laid down in Article 93 (4) to (5) of the Higher Education and Science Act, the grant will be withdrawn.
In order to generate an application, first add your bank account number in the following tab: Common section – My data – bank account and tax office.
The next step is to generate your application: Common section - APPLICATIONS – list of applications – Current applications - Application for the scholarship for persons with disabilities.The registration of your application in USOSweb is only a technical operation. If you fail to submit your application in a paper version or via the electronic submission box, this means you have not applied for the grant.
Grant applications must be submitted without the “NOT APPROVED” (NIEZATWIERDZONE) watermark, i.e. they must be printed and signed, or saved as a PDF file only after clicking the “REGISTER” button. Applications bearing the word “NOT APPROVED” will not be accepted or processed.
Once you have generated your application in the online system:
- If you submit your application by post or at the Student Support, print it out, sign it by hand and submit it on paper,
- If you submit it via the SGH electronic submission box, download and sign it with a qualified electronic signature, a signature via a trusted profile (trusted signature) or a personal signature, and send it via the SGH electronic submission box (ESP: /SGH/SkrytkaESP, as an attachment to the form “general letter to a public body”).
If the documents are sent via Poczta Polska (The Polish Post) or postal operators providing universal postal services in other Member State of the European Union, the Swiss Confederation or an EFTA Member State - party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, the postmark date shall serve as a proof. In the case of documents sent via other postal operators (e. g. inPost, other foreign operators, courier companies) - the date of the effective application submission to the Student Support is decisive.
We do not accept scholarship applications filed by e-mail.
- Procedure in the case of expiration of the disability certificate
A new certificate on the degree of disability (with validation date stated) must be registered in the Office of Accessibility and Support
for People with Disabilities at SGH .Next, you need to generate another application for a disability grant in the same academic year: generate it in the USOSweb and submit it on paper (by post or via the electronic submission box) at the Student Support.
- Grant amount
Every year, the Student Benefit Board determines the appropriate grant rates, depending on the degree of disability.
- Student Benefit Board and Student Benefit Board of Appeal
Student Benefit Board is appointed by the Rector. According to the Rules and Regulations of Student Benefits committee may consist only of university employees and students. The vast majority of places must be occupied by the students. A general oversight over the activities of the Committee is supervised by the Vice-Rector for Teaching and Student’s Affairs.
Decisions on the scholarship for persons with disabilities are taken by the Student Benefit Board.
Appeals against the decision of the Student Benefit Board should be submitted to the Student Benefit Board of Appeal.
