The SGH campus includes more than a dozen facilities located in Mokotów in the area of Batorego, Puławska, Madalińskiego and Aleja Niepodległości streets. Our main building is located at Aleja Niepodległości 162 at the exit from the Pole Mokotowskie underground station near the park with the same name. Tram lines 4, 17, 33 and buses 119, 167, 168, 174, 200 stop here.

LIBRARY
The SGH library has been in existence since 1930 and is currently the largest library for economics in Poland. It has about 1 million volumes of books and periodicals in its collection. The library provides access to more than 700 titles of Polish and foreign current periodicals and about 10,000 journal titles, with full texts, in computer databases.
SHORT HISTORY OF THE CAMPUS AND THE BUILDINGS’ DESCRIPTIONS
The SGH Warsaw School of Economics campus is on the monument conservator’s list both due to the buildings’ unique architectural value and the planning solutions.
The first design by Jan Witkiewicz-Koszczyc was a large palatial complex with two guardhouses and a yard visible from the front, and an inner garden among the buildings.

SGH AND SPORTS
The sports facilities at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics include a gym and two gymnasiums located in the main building and a gymnasium in building W at ul. Wiśniowa.
At the back of the main building, we have placed an outdoor gym – incline benches, ladders and bars are waiting for outdoor activity enthusiasts.
SGH STORE
We sell promotional materials with the SGH logo (clothing, stationery, gadgets) and books published by the SGH Publishing House, which offers publications in the field of economics in its broadest sense, including econometrics, mathematical sciences, management, marketing, finance, banking and statistics, as well as humanities such as philosophy, sociology, law and international relations. Rector’s Gardens
In the revitalized Rector’s Gardens at the back of buildings G and A, you can spend a while outdoors among the greenery and relax or study on benches, including a bench-monument to August Zieliński, the founder of our university, swings, and, in the summer, deckchairs.
The Pszczoła Główna Handlowa Apiary
Established in the summer of 2018, the Pszczoła Główna Handlowa Apiary, located on the Library’s roof, supports the urban ecosystem and produces tasty honey. The guardians of the SGH apiary are Joanna and Mariusz Korpus.
Air quality sensor
The air quality can be checked with a sensor installed at the rear of the main building to measure the concentration of dust and gases in the air. Just go to the AIRLY website, which has current readings from our campus.
Other environmental activities
There are dozens of nesting boxes for birds and bats hung on campus, and we have carried out comprehensive maintenance of more than 400 trees, as well as new oak plantings, prepared a flower meadow for our bees, installed of a composter and rainwater tanks.
BIKE SHELTERS AND THE SGH CITY BIKE SYSTEM
The bicycle network is an important investment that combines environmental and health aspects with facilitating daily tasks at the university. SGH’s urban bicycle system includes 20 marked vehicles used to travel between campus buildings. Thanks to a partnership with Acro, employees can also use the network’s public bicycles available throughout Warsaw free of charge. Bicycle commuting is facilitated by a covered parking area for bikes placed on campus, as well as bicycle racks at each university building. Bike shelters are located between the main building and the library, just behind the main entrance to the university.

ELECTRIC CARS CHARGING STATIONS
Two charging stations for electric cars and selected hybrid cars are available in front of the main SGH building and in the internal parking lot, with a total of four stations available for use by students, doctoral students, staff, alumni, as well as all other users of such cars. The chargers are equipped with type 2 connectors, known as Mennekes. The power is up to 22 kW. The charging point is characterized by a current-carrying capacity of up to 32 A and a voltage in the range of 230/400 V. A full charge takes 2 to 5 hours. The price per 1 kWh is PLN 1.09. In addition, a special preferential rate of PLN 0.99 has been introduced for the SGH academic community: students, doctoral students, employees and alumni who, when registering in the application, use an email address in the SGH domain and apply for the program by sending a message to: parkingi@sgh.waw.pl.

CATERING OUTLETS AND WATER DISPENSERS
Canteens
In the basement of building G there is the SGH Hades Canteen. In addition to the traditional place with food offerings, there is also a student area with a kitchenette that allows you to prepare and heat the meal you bring yourself. The canteen also offers coffee from a Starbucks vending machine.
Opening hours: from Monday to Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Bistro Jajko is located on the ground floor in building G.
Opening Hours:
- Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.,
- Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.,
- Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The SGH Canteen operates on the first floor of building A, where meals are prepared on site by the SGH Serwis company.
Opening hours: from Monday to Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The SGH Break Cafe Canteen is located on the ground floor of building C.
Opening Hours:
- Monday to Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.,
- Friday to Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.,
- Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Vending machines
Vending machines with snacks, coffee and cold drinks are available in the university’s buildings:
- building A – 3 machines,
- building B – 3 machines,
- building G – 9 machines,
- building C – 3 machines,
- building M – 1 machine,
- building W – 2 machines,
- Student House No. 1 “Sabinki” – 1 machine.
Water dispensers
There is no need to buy your own water before coming to class.
There are springs installed on our campus providing clean and tested drinking water. Dispensers are located in:
- the main building (ground floor, near the Undergraduate Studies Office),
- the library (ground floor, entrance from the parking lot),
- building C (ground floor, opposite the entrance).
And all that thanks to SGH’s cooperation with Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Wodociągów i Kanalizacji w m.st. Warszawie S.A. (Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Company of the capital city of Warsaw) and the Warsaw City Hall.
For the sake of the environment, we encourage you to use your own bottles/cups or drink directly from the device.
DOCTOR’S OFFICE
The Medical Facility offers on-site emergency, free assistance to students, doctoral students and employees. It is located in building G on the ground floor (next to the gatehouse), room 7a.

ROOM FOR MOTHER WITH A CHILD
The room is located in building G, on the first floor. There is a changing table, a microwave for warming milk, a wing-backed chair and a small table. The key to the room is available from the gatehouse.
PRINTING, COPYING AND SCANNING – CENTRALNY WYDRUK (CENTRAL PRINTING)
In the corridors of the university’s buildings, CW multifunctional devices are deployed for printing, copying and scanning. For students, doctoral students and postgraduate students, a pre-paid account is required to enable printing and copying, while scanning is free.

SGH MAILROOM
The SGH Mailroom provides services to the public in terms of receiving and sending correspondence, as well as registering documentation received at the SGH. The Mailroom is located in the main building, on the ground floor, room 58.

WIFI ON CAMPUS
WiFi wireless network can be used on the SGH premises. It is available in all buildings in public spaces. WiFi wireless access on the SGH campus includes access networks: EDUROAM and SGH_WIFI_SMS.

ADAPTING BUILDINGS FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
At the SGH, there are a number of solutions and facilities to facilitate movement and participation in classes for people with disabilities. Elevators, platforms and ramps are available. Specialized equipment and software also facilitate education. The school constantly strives to be fully open and accessible to people with special needs. Since 2021, we have been implementing the project “Inclusive SGH – barrier-free education (inSGH)”, which aims to make our university more accessible to people with disabilities and special needs.

BANK AND ATMs
On the ground floor in building G there is a branch of Bank Pekao S.A., open Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
There are also two Pekao S.A. ATMs available in building G, one at the gatehouse, the other one at the entrance to the building.
